Welcome to City View Church

About City View Church

These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11.13-16

Hebrews 11.13-16 tells us to seek the city that is above. City View Church is committed to the pilgrim identity of the Christian faith. We confess that we are strangers and exiles in this world because we long for a better country. As we set our minds not on the things of this earth, but on things above where Christ is seated, we will find that living for His glory is the chief end and our highest good. The church will be more useful in Her mission to evangelize the world when we direct the hearts of men to the Kingdom that is not of this world.

We stand in the Reformed, Baptist and Confessional tradition of the Reformed Faith as represented by the Westminster and London Baptist Confessions. We are devoted to the expositional, exegetical and theological preaching of the Word of God. Sola Scriptura

We are committed to Christ-centered worship that is both traditional and contemporary incorporating both the ancient hymns and modern songs that uphold a high view of God, reverent worship, and biblically faithful lyrics. Soli Deo Gloria
